Practitioner Training with Jaki Daniels

This training course features three main components/themes: 

  • Classical Chinese Medicine Foundation; Five Element Healing as taught by J.R. Worsley 

  • A relational spiritual path focusing on Nature and Spirit that leads/guides you to being in service with your gifts, skills, and talents. 

  • Shamanic Healing Methods including Extractions and Soul Retrieval 


A pre-requisite for this program is experience in shamanic journeying. If you do not have such experience please contact us so we can suggest resources before the program begins. In this training, personal journeys are the key to directly experiencing: 

  • the energy of the seasons 

  • the energy of the elements 

  • the role and function of the meridians which are part of the human system and contribute to human function on all levels, body, mind, and spirit 

  • relationships with spirit guides 


Pulse Taking 

Learning the art of reading pulses takes years to learn. Each student will be asked to take 6 or more pulses per day for the duration of their training, as part of their ongoing homework. 


Diagnostic Skill Development 

Colour / Odour / Sound of Voice / Emotion 

Other components: 

  • An Introduction to the Elements of Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water, and The Seasons of Spring, Summer, Late Summer, Autumn, and Winter 

  • The Causative Factor (CF) – Getting to the root cause of illness and dis-ease on any/all levels 

  • The 12 Meridians/Officials 

  • Seasonal Field Trips (weather and time permitting) 

  • The Law of Yin/Yang and other Natural Laws such as: Law of Cure, Chinese Clock, Mother/Child, Husband/Wife 

  • Correspondences of the Elements 

  • Spiritual Wisdom of Plants: Level I An Introduction** 

  • Classic Shamanic Healing Methods: Extractions and Soul Retrieval ** 

  • Movement of Energy, their Cycles and Patterns 

  • Special Considerations (Aggressive Energy, Possession, Husband/Wife Imbalance /Wei Level Blocks / CV-GV / Levels of Disease, Umbilical Pulse, Three Jiao, Akabanes) 

  • Patient Consultation and Assessment 

  • Clinical Session Overview 

  • Medicines: (command, spinal alignment, wei level blocks, L/R-R/L, CV-GV, possession, AE, H/W, CF, special remedies) 


**Note: While there are other courses and instructors offering Shamanic Healing Methods and Plant Spirit Communication, if these have not been taken before registration, it is highly recommended that you learn this with Jaki. Her approach takes into account the individual nature of each person’s gifts and can help inform with your future Medicine Path healing practice. 



An informal information evening outlining the program and answering your questions will be hosted by Jaki and offered in November 2019. Date and time TBA. 


Applications are welcome after April 1, 2019. Deadline to apply is February 1, 2020 

Once your application is received Jaki will be in touch to make arrangements to meet in person sometime between November 2019 and February 2020. Meetings are typically one hour. 


This program requires a minimum of 8 participants. Once that number has been reached all applicants will be advised. If the number is not met by February 1, 2020, a confirmation of cancellation will be issued.  

Note: Additional applications will still be accepted after the deadline date IF the training is proceeding. 



Full Tuition Costs: $9000.00 plus gst  


Deposit amount: $1000.00 plus gst (non-refundable) = $1050.00 

Deadline for payment of deposit: February 15, 2020 (cheque, cash, e-transfer, or credit card) 



The 2 year program is broken into 8 gatherings of 4 days each, approximately 3 months apart. Exact dates will be forwarded after all deposits have been received. Remaining tuition is broken down into 4 payments of $2000.00 each (plus gst) due two weeks before the first, third, fifth and seventh gathering. Typically, the gathering schedule is: Year 1- 2020: Apr/July/Oct. Year 2- 2021: Feb/May/ August/Nov. Year 3 – 2022 February. 


Tuition includes the full practitioner training program with a focus on three key areas: Classical Chinese Medicine Five Element healing theory and framework; basic training in developing relationships with Nature and Spirit; and shamanic healing methods. See Curriculum Overview 


Training Costs not included in general tuition: 

  • Clinically supervised patient sessions after graduation (usually between 4 and 8 but assessed individually). Note: Interning practitioner will charge their patient according to their current fees. Practitioner is responsible for payment of supervision at Jaki’s current rate.  

  • Private training regarding ‘medicines’ (typically ½ hour sessions totalling 1-3 hours) 

  • Five Element Medicine Path healing sessions for students. This is not mandatory but is highly recommended to allow the student to personally experience this system of medicine. Practitioner rates vary. 

  • Textbooks - need to be purchased directly from the Worsley Institute

Note: Please do not read any portion of the textbook(s) or other learning guides on Five Element Healing until advised by Jaki. As we will be learning about the seasons/elements/meridians through direct experience, it is helpful to ‘approach innocently’.
